What's a Connectoid: The icon, and associated properties in Windows' Dial-up Networking (DUNS) is a connectoid.

There are differences among Windows versions in the appearance of the 'Dial-up Networking' window, and the properties associated with connectoids. The graphic above applies to Windows 9x.
